Too late or too early - It's time to change

Posted on: January 28, 2008 4:25 am

It's 4:15 in the morning and I'm finally gonna hit the sack.  Now, I can't decide if it's still late at night or if it's early in the morning...

How many times have you stayed up late, partied or just had a good time.  After mid-night when we finally crash we wake up the next day we say we stayed up too late.. or did we go to bed too early in the day?

I've pondered this for years, so have I stayed up too late or too early?

Uncle wonders - so fill up my cup with feed back.  Too Late or Too Early?

Too late or too early - It's time to change

uncle, it all depends on how you look at things. your sleeping and are awake the same amount of time. look at it this way, your programming yourself for superbowl time.  at least if your work schedule permits it.

Too late or too early - It's time to change

UNCle Rich--

I was working on the set of a movie a couple years ago and worked for 31 hours straight. Even though it was spanned across two days, I still just considered it to be one. I got up at 5:30 am one day and went to bed about 6:00pm the next day..... I still just considered it to be 1 day because I never slept in that span. The first day never ended for me, so the second never began......

That's the way I see it.

An early DAYLIGHT SAVING Time- March 9th

Sunday - March 9th - Day light savings time begins..  the earliest in may years and an early easter too.  This will be a good change except for the hours sleep I'll lose.  But I get to make it up in the fall..

Remember..Spring Forward.. Fall Back.  That's the best you can remember it.  And it happens the day after Caroling pound the dookies in basketball..

Too late or too early - It's time to change

Tarheels81   That's a very interesting way to look at time Chip.  On occasion I've gone with sleep one night but that was when I was young.  You've brought back some memories.  I guess it's all in the mind and how one person view's time compared to another..

The older we get, the more set we become in our daily habits and time to wake up and go to bed.  Our time one earth is slowing down because of the gravity drag from our Moon.  You and I will never see it because our life spans as so short, relativly speaking.

Going back to your original thought, time will come when the earth rotates once it 31 hours.  We will be long gone but I wonder if people willl adapt?  Guess so as they will look back and wonder how we ever got through a 24 hour day.. Ha!  Interesting to play what if..

Uncle losses an hours sleep.

The older I get, the faster time go's by.  And now I've got to jump ahead one hour tonight.  Always loved daylight savings time but hate to lose an hours sleep.  I know, I know, I get it back in the Fall. (an extra hours sleep).  The only thing that will make the JUMP into daylight savings time easier is if Carolina beats d00k for the ACC Championship!   9pm Saturday night, that will decide who's best in the ACC.

Jumping to Day Light Savings time makes it seem we're getting older faster.  And that I don't like.. but hey, I'm just a fan.
